He was responsible for the organization, training and supervision of 23 anesthesia technicians for the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan, serving four separate hospitals. Mr. La Brie has done valuable work and assisted me to introduce the latest fiberoptic technology to the Department of Anesthesia for the purpose of airway management. In addition, he has assisted me in reorganizing and equipping the Difficult Airway Clinic which serves patients with chronic airway disabilities. In the course of this work, Mr. La Brie has become conversant with fiberoptic technology in both its application and maintenance in the care of outpatients.
