Abstract: Laurent LaBrie takes the mystery out of the debug file for RedHat Linux with respect to ISDN connections. It will show when you connect or fail with ippp0, ippp1, or ippp2. It shows the DNS and IP addresses provided by the ISP. localhost kernel: ippp, open, slot: 0, minor: 2, state: 0000 tells that the connection was made. ms-get-dns gets a Direct Net Server number. isdnctrl provides phone number info.

A second ippp connection is formed as a slave and goes through the above procedure.  Having a second ippp as a slave increases performance.
